Rich State Of Telangana Increasingly Drowning Into Debt: Center Explains

Delhi/Hyderabad, Feb 13 (Maxim News): One should not be surprised to hear about Telangana’s debts. A rich state is increasingly drowning in debt. The Center has explained this matter with statistics. The Union finance Department has said that the debts of the Telangana government are increasing day by day.

The Central government has explained this matter with statistics. The total debts of Telangana by October 2022 have reached Rs. 4,33,817.6 crores, this debt was incurred by the Telangana government alone. The Center has clarified that it is the debt incurred by all the corporations and public sector organizations under the Telangana government. In fact, by the time Telangana has formed Rs. 75,577 crores in debt, the Center said, Now those debts are Rs. 2,83,452 crores.

As per the statistics given on the debts which have been taken by the KCR government

In 2015-16 Rs. 15,515 crores

In 2016-17 Rs. 30,319 crores,

In 2017-18 Rs. 22,658 crores

In 2018-19 Rs. 23.091 crores

In 2019-20 Rs. 30,577 crores

In 2020-21 Rs. 38,161 crores and

In 2021-22 Rs. 39,433 crores.

Not only these, but Pubic Sector Banks have also reported to the Central Finance Department that they have given loans to State Public Sector Institutions and Corporations. Loans are taken by State government Corporations and Public Sector Undertakings from Public Sector Banks, NABARD, and other Corporations. The Center said in detail that it has reached Rs. 1,50,365.60 crores. Loans are taken by corporations and public sector organizations from 12 banks Rs. 1,30,365.60 crores, from Rural Infrastructure Development Corporation Rs. 8,871 crores was sanctioned while Rs. 7,144 crore has been released, the Center said. From Warehouse infrastructure Fund Rs. 972 crores was sanctioned. Rs. 852 crores have been released, from the Food processing Fund in 2015-16 and in 2016-17 Rs. 28 crores were sanctioned. Rs. 10 crores have been released from NABARD Infrastructure Development Assistance for the implementation of various schemes. Rs. 14,516.65 crore has been sanctioned, and so far the state government has sanctioned Rs. 11,424.66 crore has been utilized, the Center said. (Maxim News)
