Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Telangana demands Justice for Qadeer Khan

Jamaat-e-Islami | Hyderabad, Feb 21 (Maxim News): Expressing grief over the death of Medak native Qadeer Khan, who died due to alleged violence in police custody, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Telangana’s Ameer Maulana Hamid Muhammad Khan described the incident as “very sad” and “inhumane”.

He said that the way the police brutalized Qadeer Khan, who belongs to a poor family, shows the biased attitude of the Medak police and the Telangana police‘s claim of friendly policing has been exposed by this incident.

Maulana Hamid Muhammad Khan said that beating and torturing in this way on the basis of suspicion which leads to death is an inhumane and horrible act. He expressed hope that justice will be done to the deceased and his family in this case and strict action will be taken against the police officers who have done this heinous act.

He also demanded from the Home Minister Telangana Mr. Muhammad Mahmood Ali that impartial conduct should be adopted during the investigation and strict action should be taken against the guilty persons, irrespective of their position.

So that such incidents do not happen again in the future. Maulana Hamid Muhammad Khan demanded from the government pay 50 lakh rupees as ex-gratia to the family of the deceased Qadeer Khan and give government jobs to his wife.

He said that after coming to know about the incident, the local Ameer Of JIH Medak Mr. Mohammad Fazil is in touch with the family members of deceased Qadeer Khan and they are giving possible cooperation. (Maxim News)
