Hyderabad, April 27: The Telangana government on Monday said petrol and diesel stocks remain sufficient across the state. It urged people not to believe rumours about fuel shortage spreading on social media.
Officials said daily fuel supply continues without disruption. The state receives around 24,000 kilolitres of petroleum products every day.
This includes 9,574 kilolitres of petrol and 14,457 kilolitres of diesel. In addition, LPG cylinder supply also remains normal.
Telangana Fuel Stocks Sufficient Across State
The Civil Supplies Department said more than 2.22 lakh LPG cylinders are distributed daily. Therefore, consumers need not panic or rush to fuel stations.
However, rumours triggered long queues at several petrol bunks. Officials warned that panic buying may create an artificial shortage.

They also said the supply chain from refineries to depots is functioning smoothly. Hence, regular fuel movement continues across Telangana.
Consumers can report complaints or overpricing on toll free number 1967. Officials asked people to report artificial shortages immediately.
Meanwhile, the government warned of strict action against illegal fuel storage and black marketing. It also appealed to people to trust only official information.
