Delhi Liquor Scam: Supreme Court Refuses to Hear Further

Delhi/Hyderabad: The Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia who is under CBI custody in Delhi Liquor Scam got a major setback when the Supreme Court said that the Delhi Liquor Scam case comes under corruption and refused to hear further in this matter.

The Supreme Court, which heard the petition filed by Sisodia challenging the CBI’s arrest, advised Sisodia to approach Delhi High Court on this, Sisodia told the Supreme Court that he had nothing to do with the allegations leveled against him by the CBI in the Delhi liquor scam case. He requested to stay the trial of this case and grant him bail, but the Supreme Court refused.

The Supreme court heard Manish Sisodia’s petition at 3.50 pm today, after 30 minutes of the hearing, the Supreme Court made key comments. The Supreme Court told Sisodia that they would not investigate the case. As this case comes under corruption.

However, Sisodia’s lawyer Abhishek Manusinghvi referred to the Supreme Court’s judgment in the Vinod dua case earlier. Responding to this, the Supreme Court clarified that it has nothing to do with this case.

CBI arrested Manish Sisodia on Sunday and produced him before the court on Monday, with this, the CBI court sent Sisodia to CBI custody for 5 days. Manish Sisodia was arrested under IPC 120B, 477A, Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. (Maxim News)
