11 People Died Due To Gas Leak In A Factory
Amritsar/Hyderabad, April 30 (Maxim News): A terrible accident took place in Ludhiana, Punjab. 11 people died due to a gas leak in a factory. 11 others lost consciousness. On receiving the information, NDRF personnel reached the spot and started rescue operations.
The victims were taken to the hospital. People around the factory are being evacuated. However, the authorities revealed that the area is overpopulated. He said that most of the dead were migrant workers.
NDRF IG narendra bandela revealed that a 35 member Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) team has reached the spot to find out where the gas is leaking from. At present, they said that their priority is to evacuate the common citizens from that area. Officials suspect that the accident occurred due to gas leakage from the freezers in the factory.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed shock over this incident. Condolences to the families of the deceased. The officials were directed to provide better medical care to the victims. Police, NDRF personnel and government officials are currently at the scene. (Maxim News)
