Big Blow To KCR In Maharashtra: Not Open Its Account In Bhokar Agricultural Market Committee Elections

Hyderabad, April 30 (Maxim News): The BRS National President and Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s suffered a setback in Maharashtra. BRS supporters were defeated in the elections held on Friday for the 18 posts of directors of the family Bhokar Agricultural Market Committee in Bhokar Taluka of Nanded district, adjacent of Telangana.

Counting of votes was done on Saturday, 13 Congress supporters, 2 NCP candidates and three BJP supported candidates won the director posts. BRS could not win even a single seat. Nagnath Singh, who is holding on to this market, recently left the Congress and joined BRS. The BRS made a strategy to show its power in the market committee elections that came immediately.

BRS has been moving forward expanding its political activities in Maharashtra for some time, Massive public meetings organised in the border villages. BRS chief KCR announced that he will contest the local body elections in Maharashtra. At this juncture, KCR wanted to try at Bhokar to try his luck in the market committee elections. But, 18 candidates led by Nagnath Singh and announced free promises but could not win the election. If BRS supporters win, it has promised to implement free electricity, Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima schemes in Maharashtra like in Telangana. However, even if it is thought that the results will be reversed with the advent of BRS, the fact that the party did not make much impact is now a topic of discussion in the political circles of Maharashtra. On the other hand, analysts say that the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) faction that lost power in Maharashtra has also fallen flat in this election. (Maxim News)
