Relief To MLC Kavitha In The Liquor Scam Till Sep. 26

Delhi/Hyderabad, Sept. 15 (Maxim News): BRS MLC K. Kavitha who has not attended before the Enforcement Directorate inquiry into the alleged involvement in the Delhi Liquor case today, but has sent the legal team to the Supreme Court and filed the petition seeking relief from the ED and asked the Court to direct ED to enquire as it has been done in the case of Nalini Chidambaram. However, the Court ordered the ED not to issue a summons to Kavita till September 26.

The Additional Solicitor General told the Court that he had no objection. In this context, the bench of Justice Kaul ordered not to issue summons till September 26.

It is known that the ED has once again issued notices to Kavitha. The ED said in the notices that he should attend the hearing on Friday. The hearing on Kavitha’s petition in the Supreme Court demanding that the investigating agencies interrogate the women at home and follow the timeline is still going on. Kavitha has already appeared three times before the ED and faced investigation, earlier. (Maxim News)
