Ali Bin Ibrahim Masqati Joining Congress?

Ali Bin Ibrahim Masqati | Hyderabad, Sept 15 (Maxim News): The Telangana TDP Vice President and Business tycoon, Ali Bin Ibrahim Masqati, known as Ali Masqati, is set to make a significant political move by joining the Congress party and may potentially contest as the Congress candidate. He is likely to join before the AICC leader Sonia Gandhi who is visiting Hyderabad on September 17.

Keeping in view that the Congress party has geared up to give a tough fight against the ruling BRS party of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and expressing confidence that the Congress party will come to power in the state in the next elections, as part of this, the Congress party has escalated activity to gain the support of prominent leaders from the region, the political activity increased in Hyderabad city and its Assembly segments.

The late Ibrahim Bin Abdullah Masqati, the esteemed patriarch of the Masqati family who sadly passed away in 2015, was previously elected as a Member of the AP Legislative Assembly representing the AIMIM party. Subsequently, he transitioned to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 2002 and went on to serve as a Member of the Legislative Council, assuming the role of Chairman of the Urdu Academy.
