Empower Mosques As The Centers Of Education, Welfare, And Training: UMF

Hyderabad, Sept 16 (Maxim News): The Telangana and Andhra Pradesh state unit of the United Muslims Forum given a call to the Muslim community, urging them to transform mosques into hubs for education, welfare, and training, transcending their role as mere places of worship.

In the lead-up to Milad-Un-Nabi, which will be celebrated on September 28, Muslims were encouraged not only to commemorate but also to educate other communities about the true essence of Islam.

Under the leadership of Maulana Mufti Syed Sadiq Mohiuddin Faheem, President of the United Muslim Forum, a meeting was convened to deliberate on crucial matters.

The forum expressed deep concern over prejudiced media coverage that has negatively impacted the Muslim community. In response, they called for all Muslims to showcase the authentic values of Islam during the Milad-un-Nabi celebration.

“We vehemently condemn the biased and unfounded media coverage aimed at tarnishing the image of Islam and its followers,” emphasized UMF members during the meeting in Hyderabad. “Therefore, we implore Muslims to enlighten other communities on the occasion of Milad-Un-Nabi. Let us not limit Mosques to places of worship but transform them into centers for education, welfare, and training.”

Furthermore, they highlighted that over 75 lakh representations had been submitted to the Law Commission in opposition to the proposed Uniform Civil Code in the country.

“In addition to Muslims, Sikh, Christian, Tribal, and Dalit communities have also submitted their proposals to the Law Commission of India,” they noted.

Additionally, the United Muslim Forum (UMF) committed to engaging in dialogue with Ulemas and senior advocates to address the backlog of unnecessary cases related to Sharia Matters in various courts.

The United Muslim Forum (UMF) of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh urged individuals to promptly register their names in the voter list, either online or at designated centers.

“Do not miss the ongoing Voter Registration process, as only a few days remain. Those whose names are not on the list, please ensure immediate registration,” implored the UMF
