Rs. 19,04,31,517 Crores of Seized Cash Released Till Now

Hyderabad, November 07: Surveillance teams have been formed to conduct the assembly elections transparently in Hyderabad district.

These teams conducted field-level inspections in the respective areas and seized the illegally transported cash and jewelry.

During the elections, cash and jewelry not related to political parties and candidates are released by the District Grievance Committee in the district without causing any trouble to the people.

As part of that, 206 appeals worth Rs 33,95,07,195 came for release, out of which cash and jewelry worth Rs 19,04,31,517 were released for 181 appeals. 19 appeals worth Rs.14,58,65,238 have been recommended to Income Tax and Commercial Tax Departments. 32,10,440 worth of 6 appeals are pending.

District Grievance Committee Chairman Madhusudan said that a decision was taken in the District Grievance Committee meeting that steps are being taken to examine and release them.

Committee Member Secretary Sarath Chandra, District Treasury Officer, Deputy Director Vasundhara, Sanitation Joint Commissioner Sandhya, and others participated in this meeting.
