Polling Started: First Vote Exercised In Khairatabad Constituency

Hyderabad, Nov 21 (Maxim News): Polling has started in Telangana state. The first vote has been exercised today, for the Telangana Assembly elections. The polling process started at around two O’clock.

Polling Started: First Vote Exercised In Khairatabad Constituency

The first vote was exercised by 91 year old woman Chunduri annapurna from Khairatabad Constituency.  Though the polling date is November 30, the new system came into force in the Assembly elections held in karnataka state.  The Election Commission has provided the opportunity to the elderly people above 80 years of age and disabled persons with more than 40 percent to vote at home.  To use such a vote means, Form 12D should be applied.  Based on the address, the polling officers  come to the house and vote through a ballot.  This opportunity is valid till November 27 only.  Officials revealed that already thousands of such votes have been applied across the state of Telangana.

Overall, the polling has started in Telangana, the first vote has been cast, it is from Khairatabad constituency, we have to see how many votes will be collected by going door-to-door in the next four to five days, this is the reason why the parties have already focused on poll management.
