Met Adani To Bring Investments In The State: Jupalli Defended

Hyderabad, Jan 19 (Maxim News): Minister for Excise and Prohibition, Tourism and Culture, Jupally Krishna Rao has defended the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy meeting with the Industrialist Adani at Davos, saying that the meeting was held to bring investments to Telangana which has been turned into a pile of debts of over Rs. 7 lakh crores by the previous BRS government of the K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his family.

Due to the pushing the state into the debt trap, it has become a burden on the present government of paying Rs. 40 thousand crores towards interest.

He reminded that the BRS has supported every bill brought by BJP in Parliament, people know very well the friendship of both parties, that is why even after thousands of crores of rupees were poured in, the BRS party did not win the Legislative Assembly elections.

During the 2018 elections, BRS made many promises and did not implement them.  In the past, the opposition have waited for two years to criticise the then TRS government, why the BRS leaders were unable to wait even for 2 months.  The Congress government has already implemented two of the six guarantees.  We have organised public administration for the implementation of other guarantees.  The rest will be implemented once the scrutiny of applications is completed.

He said candidates are afraid to contest on behalf of BRS in the coming Lok Sabha elections.  Many leaders are ready to leave BRS.  The representatives of the Local bodies are not believing the BRS.  In the last two years, there was no cultivation in the Krishna basin despite its full supply of water.  This year the water in Nagarjunasagar has receded due to rains.  When there is no water in the Krishna basin, how is it possible to give it to the second crop, said Jupalli.  (Maxim News)
