NDSA Team Inspected Damaged Medigadda And Annaram Barrages Under The Kaleshwaram Project
Hyderabad, Feb 20 (Maxim News): A team of experts led by the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) reached the state today (Tuesday). NDSA officials inspected Medigadda and Annaram (Saraswati) barrages which are part of the Kaleshwaram project

First, the seepage formed at the 39th pier of Annaram Barrage was examined. Later, they viewed the collapsed area in medigadda Barrage Block 7, went under the barrage in the river bed, and examined the cracks formed on both sides.
While the engineers took the issue of water leakage in the barrage to the attention of the National Dam Safety Authority, the government handed over the issue of water storage in the three barrages to the NDSA. The Congress government will decide on whether to carry out repairs or not based on the report given by NDSA.

The officials opened the gates at night and released the water completely as NDSA suggested that the storage water should be released in an anagram barrage for repairs. a total of 2.5 tmc of water was released in the barrage and the work stopped near medigadda when Annaram water was released.
