Drugs Worth Rs. 9 Crore Seized In Hyderabad 

Hyderabad, March 22 (Maxim News): Drugs Control Authority Officers have been cracking down on the supply of prohibited drugs. The officials who have checked many places in the city (Hyderabad) are conducting raids on the godowns where fake medicines are being manufactured and sold are being seized.

Drug control officials recently raided a company manufacturing banned drugs. The incident took place in the suburbs of Hyderabad.  Drugs worth around Rs. 9 crore have been seized. 

Interpol received information that drugs were being manufactured in a factory in Bollaram.  Immediately, with the help of Interpol, drug control officials conducted searches in PSN medicare Private Limited Company.  In this order, the officials found that the company was manufacturing prohibited drugs.  About 90 kg of ephedrine drugs were seized by the drug control officials.  Kasturi Reddy Nallapodi, who has been manufacturing drugs and transporting them abroad for the past ten years, has been arrested.  It was found that drugs are being packed in cigarette packets and are being transported abroad.  To some extent, there are suspicions of drug supply in Hyderabad as well.

Drug Control Officer Kamalahasan Reddy said that the drug racket was busted with the help of Interpol.  Kamalahasan Reddy disclosed that there is information that PSN company is supplying drugs to many countries.  (Maxim News)
