Radhakishan Rao’s Remand Report Revealed of Forming A Special Team to Spy Then-Opposition Leaders

Hyderabad, April 2 (Maxim News): Radhakishan Rao, who worked as DCP and OSD of the Hyderabad Task Force, brought many sensational things to light during the investigation.  It was revealed in Radhakishan Rao’s investigation that he formed a special team to spy on the then-opposition leaders as well as the dissidents in the ruling party.

It has been revealed that the suspended DSP Praneet Rao has been entrusted with this responsibility based on community.  

Based on the information given by Praneet Rao, it was also found that the money belonging to the opposition parties was seized during the elections.

Prabhakar Rao, who served as IG and then OSD of the Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) in the phone tapping case is tightening the trap.

The police who arrested him last Thursday recorded his statement.  The details are as mentioned in the remand report.

In 2014, after BRS (then TRS) came to power for the first time, Prabhakar Rao was transferred to the Intelligence Department in 2016 as per social class equations. 

After that, he appointed people from his community and some of those who had worked with him in the past in different subdivisions of the surveillance department.

Among them are Praneet Rao from Nalgonda district, Bhujanga Rao from Rachakonda Commissionerate, Venugopal Rao from Cyberabad, Thirupatanna from Hyderabad Commissionerate, and others. 

A special Operations Team was formed with all of them.  The responsibility of its leadership was entrusted to Praneet Rao.

The purpose of forming this group is to keep an eye on the leaders of the opposition, their followers, and rebels within their party.  This is totally against the policies of SIB.

Radhakishan Rao admitted in the investigation that he was appointed DCP of the task force in 2017 by the BRS leadership to maintain political and other control over Hyderabad city as per Prabhakar Rao’s instructions along with social equalization.

After that, according to his suggestion, the government appointed Gattumallu as the Taskforce CI of Western Mandal. 

After working there for two years i.e. till 2021, Radhakishan Rao disclosed that Prabhakar Rao took Gattumallu into SIB as per his suggestion as part of their common goal (to ensure the continuation of the rule of BRS).

From then on, Prabhakar Rao, Bhujangara Rao, Venugopal Rao, and Praneet Rao used to meet frequently to strengthen BRS (then TRS) in the state and ensure that the same party rule continued. 

They decided to talk through social media such as WhatsApp, signal, and Snapchat so that their secret and unofficial activities do not come out.

Radhkishan Rao revealed in the investigation that Prabhakar Rao’s team thought that their goal was to bring BRS back to power in the year 2023 assembly election and ensure that the party leader had full control over the party.

Praneet Rao conducted technical surveillance during the 2022 Munugode by-election as per the instructions of Prabhakar Rao.

Based on the information given by him, the Hyderabad Task Force police confiscated Rs. 3.5 crore from the followers of former BJP candidate Komati Reddy Rajagopal Reddy, namely Gunta Saikumar Reddy, kunde Mahesh, D.Sandeep Kumar, M.Mahender, A.Anush Reddy and Vennam Bharat and handed it over to the Gandhinagar police.
