Seized Cash Over Rs. 16 Crore In Hyderabad So Far: Ronald Rose

Hyderabad, April 25 (Maxim News): In a significant development ahead of the upcoming parliament elections, District Election Officer (DEO) and GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose announced major seizures of cash and other materials suspected of influencing voters.

So far, since the schedule of the election announced Rs, 16,19,06,105 cash has been seized, other goods worth Rs. 1.58 crores including liquor, arrested 232 individuals 

Giving the details, Ronald Ross said flying squads had seized Rs. 3,26,69,235, police seized Rs. 12,76,57,180, SST teams Rs. 15,79,690.

In the past 24 hours April 24 from 6 am to april 25 at 6 am,  Cash Rs. 4,10,000, Goods Rs. 53,863, liquor 119.21 liters, arrested 8 individuals 

The Authorities have resolved 470 complaints concerning cash and election-related items. FIRs (First Information Reports) have been registered against 314 individuals. A total of 2,995 licensed weapons have been deposited.
