Two Held: Seized Unaccounted Gold And Silver Ornaments Worth Rs. 2 Crores 

Hyderabad, June 15 (Maxim News): On credible information, the sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone Team, Hyderabad City, along with Chilkalguda Police, apprehended two individuals and seized unaccounted gold ornaments and silver items worth Rs. 2 Crores.

The apprehended accused 1) Bajjuri Purnachander, age: 49 years, Occ: Business, R/o. Mettuguda, Secunderabad.and 2) Syed. Baba Shareef, age: 25 yrs, Occ: Driver R/o: Warangal Seized Material: and seized gold, diamond jewelry all weighing 2.5 kg, silver items all weighing 1 kg, Car, three cell phones total worth Rs. 2 crores. 

On 14-06-2024, acting on a tip-off, the Task Force police intercepted the respondents while they were transporting unaccounted gold ornaments and silver items in two boxes in a Honda (WR-V) car near Aparna Oosmans Everest Apartments, Mettuguda, Secunderabad.

Upon inquiry, the respondents failed to produce any valid documents for carrying such a large quantity of gold ornaments. Consequently, all the ornaments were seized and are being handed over to the Income Tax Department for further action. The apprehension was carried out by SIs B. Ashok Reddy, Srinivasulu Dasu and P.
Gnanadeep of the North Zone Task Force along with a team. (Maxim News)
