Case Against BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy Under New Law

Karimnagar/Hyderabad, July 3 (Maxim News): A case has been registered against Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy in Karimnagar-1 Police Station. A case was registered under the newly enacted law on the complaint of obstructing the duties of the officials in the Zilla Parishad meeting held on Tuesday.  The police filed a case under Section 122, 126(2) of the Bharata Nyaya Sanhitha (BNS) (Indian Penal Code).

Case

Huzurabad MLA Kaushik Reddy on Tuesday blocked Karimnagar District Collector Pamela Satpathy saying that she was leaving the meeting without answering his question.  On the way, she protested by lying on the ground.  The incident took place in the Karimnagar Zilla Parishad meeting hall on Tuesday. Collector Pamela Satpathy, Additional Collector Praful Desai, and other officials attended the plenary meeting presided over by ZP Chairperson Kammalla Vijaya.  MLA Kaushik Reddy along with ZPTCF members and MPPs participated.

On this occasion, Kaushik Reddy said that recently he conducted a review of the progress of the education department with the mandal education officials in Huzurabad constituency as an MLA.  At this time, along with the MLA, all the ZPTCs of BRS displayed placards and raised slogans demanding the suspension of DEO.  Kaushik Reddy demanded that the collector answer this.  Collector Pamela Satpathy got up from her chair and tried to go out as the agitation was increasing in the Assembly, but the MLA sat on the floor in front of her. There was an altercation between him and the police for a while.  After the collector left, MLA and Congress ZPTC members criticized each other in the Assembly.  (Maxim News)
