Emphasis on Border Security
Chaudhury has already inspected the floating border outposts in the Sundarbans area, spread across the South 24 Parganas and North 24 Parganas districts. It is learned that Chaudhury has emphasized ensuring absolute security and sealing the borders with Bangladesh to prevent any illegal infiltration attempts amidst the Bangladesh crisis.
Enhanced Security Measures
Chaudhury has specifically stressed the importance of bolstering security at the floating border outposts and deploying additional security personnel at sensitive border points, which have a higher risk of illegal infiltration. He has also emphasized enhanced night patrolling and monitoring using close-circuit television sets and night vision cameras, considering that the chances of illegal infiltration are higher during night hours.
