Independence Day 2024: CS Visits Historic Golconda Fort

Independence Day 2024 | Hyderabad, Aug 12 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari visited Golkonda Fort today and inspected the arrangements being made for the Independence Day celebrations on August 15. She directed the officials to make foolproof arrangements in a befitting manner.

The main attraction during this Independence Day celebrations would be the large participation of cultural troupes who would be participating in their traditional attires depicting the rich and varied cultural heritage of the state.

According to the Director of Culture Harikrishna, more than one thousand artists from different art forms such as Gussadi, Kommu Koya, Lambadi, Dappulu, Oggu dollu, Kolatam, Bonalu Kolatam, Behandla Jamidikal, Chindu Yakshaganam, Karrasamu, Kuchipudi, Bharatnatyam, Perni, Nagara Bheri would participate in the Independence Day celebrations.

It was also decided to bring school children from various schools so as to kindle the spirit of patriotism amongst the children.

The Chief Secretary instructed the police department to make proper bandobust, security, and traffic arrangements to avoid inconvenience to the public. All the line departments were told to work in close coordination to organise the event in a grand manner.
