Temporary Relief For Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru/Hyderabad, Aug 19 (Maxim News): Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has been granted temporary relief by the High Court. The Karnataka High Court ordered the trial court not to take any action against him till August 29. The Governor of that state Tawarchand Gehlot permitted to prosecute CM Siddaramaiah in the MUDA scam and issued orders. CM Siddaramaiah filed a writ petition in the High Court on Monday seeking to suspend the Governor’s orders.

The writ petition was heard under the single bench judge Hemant Chandangoud. On this occasion, lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi heard his arguments on behalf of CM Siddaramaiah. In that order, it was explained to the judge that no investigation should be conducted against CM Siddaramaiah till August 29. Single judge Justice Hemant Chandana Goud agreed with the arguments of lawyer Singhvi. It ordered that no action should be taken against him till August 29.

Alleging that CM Siddaramaiah is involved in the Mysore Urban Development Corporation (MUDA) Scam, social activists Snehamai Krishna, TJ Abraham, and others have filed a petition in a special court. In this context, Governor Tawar Chand Gehlat permitted a special court to prosecute CM Siddaramaiah on August 17. CM Siddaramaiah filed a writ petition in the High Court on Monday, demanding that these orders be canceled immediately. The writ petition was heard by single judge Justice Heamnt Chandan Goud on Monday. Single judge Justice Hemant Chandan Goud ordered CM Siddaramaiah not to be prosecuted till August 29.  with this, CM Siddaramaiah got temporary relief.  (Maxim News)
