KTR Opposed Promotion Of Hindi: Language Chauvism Would Bane For Cournty Warned: KTR

Hyderabad, Sept 12 (Maxim News): Working President of BRS and MLA, K. Tarak Rama Rao who is presently in the United States despite the state suffering from heavy rains and floods causing huge damage, KTR questioned the Union Home Minister Amit Shah on ‘X’ platform on his recent call for increased acceptance of Hindi, he warned that language chauvinism would be a bane for the country.

KTR emphasized the importance of promoting India’s linguistic diversity and argued that India’s strength lies in its wide range of languages. He warned that language chauvinism would be bane for the country.

KTR questioned the need for prioritizing Hindi over other regional languages. “Why exactly do we need increased Hindi acceptance, Amit Shah Ji? Why not promote Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kanada, Bengali, Marathi, Oriya, Gujarati and others? he asked.

He reminded us that Hindi is only one of India’s 22 official languages and should not be pushed at the expense of others. (Maxim News)
