Intermediate Board's Key Decision: New NCERT Syllabus

Hyderabad, Sept 21 (Maxim News): It seems that the Telangana Intermediate Board is about to launch a new reform. It is reported that exercises have been started to change the inter-syllabus from the academic year 2025-26. It seems that a decision has been taken to introduce the NCERT syllabus in place of the state syllabus. However, the exams with the changed syllabus will be conducted as usual.

NCERT is planning to keep mathematics as the only subject. Mathematics will be divided into 1A, 1B, 2A and 2B. It has decided to make changes after recognizing that most of the questions appearing in exams like JEE, CUTE, and CLOT are based on the NCERT syllabus.

While private inter-colleges in the state are already following the NCERT syllabus, this decision has been taken to improve the students of government colleges. Recently, Inter Education Commissioner Kritika Shukla held discussions with the academic representatives of prominent educational institutions like Narayana and Sri Chaitanya. They know in detail about the teaching methods they are following. It seems that it has been decided to introduce some methods in government junior colleges.

The tracking system of students will be implemented on the lines of private colleges. Its main objective is to assess the abilities of each student. To increase learning abilities by tracking students, the examination system will be centralized as part of this.

Previously, the question papers for unit tests, quarterly and half-yearly tests were prepared in the colleges themselves, but in this system, it has been decided to send the question papers from the inter-board. Also, marks of students will be uploaded online and reviewed. It is also known that the academic guidance and monitoring cell has been set up at the district level to supervise the students’ studies and guide the colleges. The data of the colleges is monitored from time to time and the necessary guidance is given to the students. The lecturers will be trained according to the syllabus change. (Maxim News)
