Urges BRS to Contribute ₹500 Crore

CM Revanth Reddy called on the BRS to contribute ₹500 Crore from their substantial party fund of ₹1,500 crore towards the Musi Riverfront development. This plea underscores a collaborative approach, urging the ruling party to participate financially in a project that promises long-term benefits for the region.
In a bold move, Revanth Reddy suggested that he, along with fellow politician Eatala Rajender, should meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to request a significant allocation of ₹25,000 crore for the Musi River initiative. This proposal indicates Revanth Reddy’s commitment to securing substantial funding to ensure the project’s viability and sustainability.

Recognizing the community’s concerns, Reddy expressed his willingness to engage in dialogue. He proposed holding an all-party meeting to discuss the Musi project, emphasizing the importance of collective input and collaboration. He assured that the government would compensate residents affected by land acquisitions, indicating a thoughtful approach to the sensitive issue of land reforms.
“I know people are angry and scolding, but this is for the future,” Revanth Reddy stated, highlighting the necessity of the project despite public dissent. He acknowledged the discomfort surrounding the project but insisted that it was crucial for the region’s long-term development.

Revath Reddy also addressed the ongoing protests, suggesting that some were politically motivated, alleging that the BRS was hiring individuals to oppose the Musi initiative. He claimed these protests were aimed at protecting the interests of certain political figures rather than the broader community.
He stated, “Protests on Musi are to protect farmhouses of KTR, Harish, Sabita & her sons, KVP,” framing the opposition as a conflict of interests rather than a genuine concern for public welfare.

1000 Acres In Jawaharnagar For Musi Victims

Highlighting the government’s intentions, Revanth Reddy mentioned plans to allocate 1,000 acres in Jawahar Nagar for housing projects, ensuring that those displaced by the Musi project would receive adequate support and alternative housing solutions.
