Driving Licence Will Be Cancelled If Rules Are Not Followed: Ponnam Prabhakar

Hyderabad, Oct 9 (Maxim News): Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has said that the driving licenses of those who drive vehicles without following the rules will be canceled and vehicles will not be registered in the names in the future.

It is said that the licenses of 8 thousand people who have already violated the traffic rules have been canceled. He said that Telangana Joined the Sarathi Vahan Portal under the Centre,

Minister Ponnam spoke to reporters today. he said that we have focused on the prevention of road accidents in the state.

He said that accident zones will be identified and road safety week will be organized next month to create awareness among children in schools. He said that the vehicle scrapping policy would be brought in the state.

He explained that the policy will be implemented in the state after studying the policies of Karnataka and Maharashtra, He said that they will allow extra tax on vehicles over 15 years old.

The minister clarified that there are no vehicles in the RTC that are more than fifteen years old. He said that a meeting at the southern states on the single permit system will be held soon. (Maxim News)
