To this extent, a pilot land survey was conducted in Yacharam in Rangareddy district and Tirumalagiri mandals in Nalgonda district in Rangareddy district and Tirumalagiri mandals in Nalgonda district in September. As a part of this, the government has collected public opinions, suggestions, and documents related to the law. The government will once again implement the VRA and VRO system as the people are demanding that there should be a special revenue system at the village level and that the land commission should be set up at the district and state levels.

It is reported that the arrangements for designing the New Revenue Act-2024 to replace the Telangana Graduate Passbooks and Ownership Rights Act-2020 have been completed. The officials collated the views on the draft and presented the draft document to Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy. It seems that the minister has recently discussed with the CM the activities related to the drafting of the law. It seems that the government is planning to bring the new law into effect from Diwali, either by approving it in the legislative session or issuing an ordinance, which will discuss the draft in the meeting of the Council of Ministers.

It is expected that there should be an assistant for land protection and revenue services in each village. For this, the government is planning to appoint VRA or those who are eligible through examination. A portal named ‘Bhu mata‘ will be established in place of the Dharani portal. It is known that the government has recently completed the process of transferring the Dharani portal from a private organization to a government organization NIC. All that remains is to change the name.  In the new law, there is a possibility to make changes in the revenue records by giving options in the portal as soon as the regularization of common names is provided.
