Revanth Reddy To Minorities: “Modi Pariwar Or Gandhi Pariwar, Choose Wisely”

Hyderabad, Nov 11 (Maxim News): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made an attempt to win the confidence of minority communities in the State, also stating that he was a bit upset with them as they had not elected even one minority candidate from the Congress in any of 119 constituencies in the state.

Speaking at the Minorities Welfare Day celebrations here on Monday, the Chief Minister said this was the reason why there was no Minority Minister in the State cabinet.

Despite this, the Congress had appointed former Minister Mohd Ali Shabbir as Advisor to the Government, besides appointing minorities as chairmen for eight different corporations. Adhering to the high command’s instructions, Siasat Editor Amer Ali Khan was made MLC among the four MLCs while an IG cadre minority officer was working in the CM’s peshi.

Stressing that these appointments were their share for supporting the Congress, the Chief Minister said at times the minorities got carried away and supported regional parties.

During Ramzan, they wear sherwanis and have biryani along with you, and out of sentiment, you support them.  But think wisely, they take your votes here and whom do they support in Delhi?” Revanth Reddy asked the gathering.

The Chief Minister further said there were not many parties in the country, There were only two -0 one was the Modi pariwar and the other was Gandhi Pariwar.

“If you decide to support Modi pariwar, they will scrap the four percent reservation provided exclusively to minorities by the Congress.  Decide for yourself on whom to support,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mohd Ali Shabbir courted controversy stating that the BJP could never scrap the BC reservation provided to minorities by the Congress.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have been saying that they will scrap Muslim reservations.  Kisike baap se bhi ye nahi ho sakta (None can do this),  Shabbir said.
