The images of the main gate being removed are being shared extensively on different social media platforms and have gone viral. The main gates have been closed since June 4 this year. Since then, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has been using the northeast gate for entry and exit into the Secretariat due to Vastu issues. Though there has been no official confirmation over the removal of the main gates, it is said that the decision was taken considering Vastu. There is also speculation that the main gates would be installed at Gate No. 3 towards the Hussain Sagar end.

On the other hand, the State government is intensifying efforts to install the Telangana Talli statue inside the Secretariat premises. All measures are being taken to unveil the statue on December 9 in connection with Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi’s birthday celebrations.

Apart from removing the main gate, the Congress government is making a few changes, including laying of new roads from gate No. 2 to gate No. 4, in the Secretariat by spending about Rs. 4 crore.

Former Minister T. Harish Rao had recently criticized the Congress government for its hypocrisy.

“In the past, when the Secretariat was constructed with green technology and fire safety norms, it was ridiculed for over-emphasis on vastu. Now, considering Vastu issues, Rs. 4 crore is being spent to change the main gate,” Harish Rao had said on X. (Maxim News)
