After Maharashtra, BJP Now Targets Telangana

Hyderabad, Nov 24 (Maxim News): In the wake of the resounding victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, it seems that the BJP will now focus on Telangana. To this extent, it is planned to strengthen the party institutionally and sharpen the political strategies.

The top leadership of the BJP, which considers Telangana as the gateway to the south, is determined to capture the seat of power here in the next elections. Internal action is already being implemented accordingly. Party leaders are saying that they are gearing up to continue the momentum of the recent Maharashtra results in Telangana. As part of this, the national leadership has ordered the state party to strengthen the party’s organization and take the elections of GHMC as well as MLC and local bodies with prestige.

In view of the term of the current ruling body of GHMC coming to an end in December next year, the state party leadership is working hard to win the seat this time. The BJP, which achieved unexpected results in the last GHMC election and came very close to the mayor’s seat, is hoping to assert its power in the capital this time and thereby become stronger for the upcoming assembly elections. As part of this, a special meeting was held with local party leaders and corporators. It directed that the failures of the state government in all the divisions in the greater area should be dried up and the struggles on public issues should be broadened. In addition to these, one of the chief leaders of the party said that long-term action is being taken to expose the Congress government’s failures in the implementation of six guarantees to the public.

Party sources claim that the national leadership will decide on the appointment of a new president for the state BJP.  It is said that there is a need for a leader who will bring enthusiasm to the cadre and coordinate the main leaders, to dry up the failures of the Congress government.  A senior leader of the party said that opinion polling was also done in this direction.  He said there are high chances of appointing a new president by the end of next month or the first week of January.  The BJP sources claim that after the appointment of the new president, the BJP will increase its aggression in the state and try to attract important leaders from other parties.  It is said that they will try to use ‘Operation Akarsh’, especially for those who are dissatisfied with CM Revanth  Reddy.  It is said that the BJP is moving intending to weaken the Revanth Reddy government in the state

It is known that many Telangana leaders including Etala Rajender have already discussed the future activities with the party leaders in Delhi.  On this occasion, it is reported that the top leadership has informed them that changes and additions will be made to the party by the first week of December.
