K Kavitha, Harish Rao Placed Under House Arrest
Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party called for a protest near the Ambedkar statue on NTR Marg (Tank Bund) in Hyderabad, opposing the arrests of its leaders. Among those placed under house arrest are BRS MLC Kavitha, former minister and MLA Harish Rao, Quthbullapur MLA KP Vivekanand, Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao, MLC Shambhipur Raju, Vikarabad MLA Metuku Anand, and MLA Padma Rao.

In response, police heightened security and began placing key BRS leaders under house arrest to prevent them from participating in the demonstrations. Heavy police deployment has been arranged around their residences.
This follows the arrest of Koushik Reddy, Harish Rao, and Palla Rajeshwar Reddy yesterday. While Harish Rao and Palla Rajeshwar Reddy were released in the evening, Koushik Reddy was granted bail by the Nampally Court late last night.
