Congress accuses BRS leaders of mimicking Congress to serve BJP’s agenda
• Why don’t BRS leaders have the courage to chant ‘Modi-Adani Bhai Bhai’? asks TPCC Spokesperson Nizamuddin
Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Official Spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin accused the BRS party of lacking originality and copying Congress initiatives while acting as a tool for the BJP to derail Congress’s fight against the Modi-Adani nexus.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday, Nizamuddin alleged that BRS leaders, devoid of creative solutions, had begun mimicking Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who fearlessly protests in Parliament against the Modi-Adani nexus. “While Rahul Gandhi exposes the Modi-Adani alliance, BRS leaders chant hollow slogans like ‘Adani-Revanth Bhai Bhai.’ Why don’t they have the courage to chant ‘Modi-Adani Bhai Bhai’? This hesitation to name Modi directly shows their true allegiance,” he said. He added that BRS leaders are “not only copycats but also puppets of the BJP, afraid to target Modi while attacking the Congress.”
He further accused the BRS of aiding the BJP in diluting Congress’s protests against the Modi-Adani nexus. “Instead of standing with Congress to expose the Modi-Adani collusion, BRS leaders act as BJP’s remote-controlled tools to weaken our fight for truth. Their baseless attacks on Congress reflect an agenda set by the BJP to deflect public attention,” Nizamuddin remarked.

Highlighting the BRS’s alleged hypocrisy on Adani-related issues, Nizamuddin pointed out that the previous BRS government, headed by K Chandrashekhar Rao, had approved multiple projects benefiting Adani. He listed six major projects, including the Adani Elbit Systems Defence Unit and the 750 kV Transmission Line Project, claiming these were handed over without transparency. “KCR’s government is the real ‘Adani Bhai Bhai.’ Instead of shouting slogans, let the BRS explain their six Adani-backed projects,” he challenged.
Nizamuddin also criticized the BRS for its fading narrative and misguided attacks on Congress. He noted that after recent electoral setbacks, the BRS had resorted to baseless criticism of people-centric projects like lake protection initiatives, the Musi River project aimed at transforming Hyderabad, and the redesign of the Telangana Talli statue. “BRS has lost direction. Their attacks on Congress projects reveal their desperation and lack of public support,” he said.

Defending the redesign of the Telangana Talli statue, Nizamuddin stated that the new design reflects the sacrifices of Telangana’s farmers, laborers, and rural women. He credited Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for making an inclusive decision after consulting diverse opinions, unlike KCR’s unilateral approach with the earlier statute. “The statue symbolizes perseverance, which defines Telangana’s spirit. Congress respects Telangana’s soul, while BRS disrespects it for political gains,” he said.
Nizamuddin asserted that the Congress government in Telangana, under CM Revanth Reddy, stands for inclusive growth, transparency, and the true spirit of Telangana. In contrast, he described BRS leaders as parrots of the BJP, chanting narratives that serve their political survival. (Maxim News)
