He reiterated that as soon as the Congress government came to power, they released a white paper in the Assembly about the state’s financial situation and debts during the previous BRS government and told the people the facts. 

By 2014, when the state of Telangana was formed, the state government had directly borrowed Rs. 72,658 crore.  When it came to 2024, it had borrowed Rs. 3,89,673 crores.  While government-guaranteed loans taken in the name of corporations were Rs. 5,893 crore in 2014, this has increased to Rs. 95,462 crore by 2024.  While there was nothing directly borrowed by various corporations without government guarantees by 2014, by 2024 the then BRS government borrowed Rs. 59,444 crore.

The BRS leaders who were in power for 10 years raised loans for Irrigation, R&B, Panchayat Raj, hospitals, employees GPF, mid-day meals, fee reimbursement, etc. amounting to Rs. 40,154 crores.

Over 10 years, the previous BRS government directly and indirectly incurred debts of Rs. 7,11,911 crore and burdened the people, while the state government’s annual debt to banks as of 2014 was only Rs. 6400 crore, BRS has taken the state to the predicament of paying Rs. 66,782 crore in debt and interest due to the debts incurred by BRS in 10 years.  The state is robbed by the BRS by incurring debts, the Congress government is taking on debts to pay off the debts incurred by the BRS. 

In accordance with the FRBM rules, this year the public government has taken out loans of Rs. 54,118 crore and paid back the loans and interest of the previous BRS government of Rs. 66,782 crore.  Why are Harish Rao and KTR shouting like this after putting the state in debt and burdening the people? The Congress government buys every grain grown in the state.  We pay for the purchase within a week.  We give bonuses to the farmers. 

Kaleshwaram project:

BRS leaders boasted that they built the Kaleshwaram project magnificently with a cost of Rs. 1.20 lakh crore, why did the production not increase significantly, this year regardless of the Kaleshwaram project, the agriculture productivity has increased?  Regardless of Kaleshwaram, which claims to have been built by BRS,  He said that the farmers are benefiting from an additional ten to fifteen thousand rupees per acre through the 500 per quintal bonus given to farmers on the crops. 

The Congress government is friendly to farmers.  It spent Rs. 50,953 crores directly on farmers for agriculture during the year.  It has spent 7625 crores for farmer insurance, Rs. 21 thousand crores for farmer loan waiver, Rs. 1514 crores for farmer insurance premium payment Rs. 40 crores for crop damage, Rs. 36 crores for seed supply to farmers.  Rs. 11,270 crores for subsidy on agricultural pump sets, 9795 crores for irrigation works required for agriculture, a total of 50,953 crores has been spent by the Congress government just for the farmers for agriculture.

The Deputy Chief Minister addressed the media conference organized at the Khammam Congress Party district office, today, he said that the government is implementing the promise of providing Rs. 12,000 per year to landless and impoverished laborers from the 28th of this month. The first installment of Rs. 6,000 will be given to poor laborers on December 28, the day the Congress party was formed for the country’s independence. We will provide Rythu Bharosa money to farmers from the next Sankranti.

Congress Govt. came to power

Since the Congress government came to power, it has spent Rs. 50,953 crores directly on agriculture and farmers, BRS has done nothing for farmers after being in power for ten years. BRS leaders are talking nonsense just to deceive the people by creating illusions as if something is not there and pretending 

The Congress government will set up airports in Kothagudem, Ramagundam, Adilabad, and Warangal areas for the expansion of industries across the state.  We have undertaken a revitalization program to develop Musi as a hub for the State Capital Hyderabad. We will establish a regional ring road and provide them to future generations.  (Maxim News)
