Tirupati Stampede: Celebrities Including PM Modi Shocked

Delhi/Amaravathi/Hyderabad, Jan 9 (Maxim News): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu have expressed shock over the stampede in Tirupati. They have expressed their deepest condolences to the families of the deceased.

PM Modi said that he is praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. He said on Twitter that the government is providing all possible help to the victims. TTD has started token issuance centers in Tirupati for darshan through Vaikuntha. In the stampede that took place on this occasion, 6 people died and more than 40 people were seriously injured. Celebrities expressed their grief over the incident.

Rahul Gandhi prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and called on Congress leaders and workers to stand by the victims. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep shock over the incident. He said that he was deeply disturbed by the loss of many lives in the incident that took place when devotees had gathered in large numbers for tokens. The CM spoke to the officials over the phone about the treatment being provided to those injured in the incident.  (Maxim News)
