WATCH | Raid At Bakery In Ranga Reddy: Expired Items Worth ₹14 Lakh Seized

Hyderabad, Jan 12 (Maxim News): Food Safety Inspectors carried out raids on a large scale in Ranga Reddy district. Raids were carried out on bakeries within the district. Expired bakery foods were seized. Food safety raids were carried out on the Heemankshi Bakers Private Limited factory in Mekaguda, Rangareddy district. It was found that expired items were being used in the bakery.  Expired raw materials worth about 14 lakh rupees were seized.

It seems that bakery ingredients are being supplied from Heemankshi Bakers to the country and abroad,  it was found that bakery foods were being prepared in an unhygienic kitchen. During these inspections, it was found that 9 quintals of cocoa powder, 165 kg of glycerol monostearate, 170 kg of cake gel, 360 kg of hydrogenated vegetable fat, 375 kg of milk powder, and expired raw materials were stored in violation of FSSAI norms. Food Safety Officials have registered a case against the bakery.

Recently, food safety officials have been inspecting the Hyderabad metropolis and surrounding areas. The officials’ inspections clearly show poor food quality in restaurants, hotels, and bakeries.  (Maxim News)
