Telangana MLC Elections: Schedule Released For 5 More Seats

Delhi/Hyderabad, Feb 24 (Maxim News): The Election Commission of India (ECI) has released the schedule for the MLA quota MLC elections to fill 5 MLC seats. The notification related to this will be released on March 3. Polling will be held on March 20 and counting will be held on the same day.

This election will be held for a total of 5 MLC vacancies. The terms of Mahmood Ali, Satyavati Rathod, Sheri Subhas Reddy, Yagge Mallesham, and Mirza Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi will end on March 29. With this, the EC will conduct elections for the five seats that will fall vacant.

According to the schedule, the last date for filing nominations is March 10, Scrutiny on March 11, and the last date for withdrawal is March 13. The date of polling is March 20 from 9 am to 4 pm and counting of votes will commence from 5 pm on the same day of polling.  (Maxim News)
