Visiting Hyderabad Zoo to Get Costlier from March 1 – Check New Prices

Hyderabad: A trip to Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad will soon be more expensive, as the Telangana government has increased the entry fees, ride charges, parking fees, and other services.

The new prices will apply from March 1 and were decided during the 13th Governing Body meeting of the Zoos and Parks Authority of Telangana.

What’s Changing?

  • Entry Fee:
    • Adults: ₹100 (previously ₹70 on weekdays, ₹80 on weekends)
    • Children: ₹50 (previously ₹45 on weekdays, ₹55 on weekends)
    • Weekday and weekend rates have now been made uniform.
  • Fish Aquarium Entry: ₹20 (previously ₹10)
  • Safari Ride:
    • AC Vehicle: ₹150 (up from ₹120)
    • Non-AC Vehicle: ₹100 (up from ₹80)
  • Toy Train Ride:
    • Adults: ₹80 (previously ₹45)
    • Children: ₹40 (previously ₹25)
  • Camera Charges:
    • Still Camera: ₹150 (previously ₹120)
    • Video Camera: ₹2,500 (up from ₹600)
    • Commercial Movie Shoots: ₹10,000
  • Battery Vehicle Ride:
    • Adults: ₹120 (previously ₹95 on weekdays, ₹110 on weekends)
    • Children: ₹70 (previously ₹60 on weekdays, unchanged for weekends)
  • Parking Fees:
    • Cycle: ₹10
    • Bike: ₹30
    • Auto: ₹80
    • Car: ₹100
    • Tempo: ₹150

Why Are Prices Increasing?

Zoo Curator J Vasantha explained that the prices are revised every year, and the decision to increase fees was made in a meeting held last June.

“We received the official approval and have now implemented the new rates,” she said.

With these new charges, visiting the Hyderabad Zoo will now cost more for families.
