Adulterated Cooking Oil Racket Busted in Malakpet Gunj
Hyderabad, Mar 11 (Maxim News): The South East Task Force Police have successfully uncovered a major illegal cooking oil racket in the Malakpet Gunj area of Hyderabad. The operation involved the sale of counterfeit and substandard cooking oil, posing a significant health risk to the public.
A raid was carried out at Ganesh Balaji Lakhdataar Oil (Shop No. 261, Malakpet Gunj, Mehboob Mansion), where counterfeit branded labels and packaging were being used to sell adulterated cooking oil. This illegal activity not only defrauded consumers financially but also jeopardized their health.
During the operation, the police seized a large quantity of fake cooking oil, branded bottles, labels, and packaging materials. The adulterated oil was being sold under the names of trusted brands, deceiving consumers.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the supply chain and the individuals involved in the racket. (Maxim News)
