Property Registration Within 15 Mins: New Slot Booking System In Telangana

Hyderabad, April 9 (Maxim News): Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that they are introducing a slot booking system with the aim of making the registration process easy and completing it in 10-15 minutes without any scope for corruption.

He explained that it will be on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis. He revealed that additional staff will be appointed in the offices with high traffic, and 144 slots have already been made available in Qutubullapur with two additional sub-registrars. He said that to speed up the registration process, the Aadhaar e-sign facility will be introduced by the end of this month, which will ensure that more time is not wasted for signatures.

He also said that amendments are being made to the law to curb the problem of double registration and steps are being taken to include Section 22-B in the Registration Act. He revealed that the module has been made available on the website for people to prepare documents themselves, and currently it is available as an option only for sale deeds. He said that the scope of offices with high and low traffic is being merged to coordinate the workload. As part of this, it was stated that the Champapet and Saroor Nagar offices have been made one. Minister Ponguleti revealed that the sub-registrar offices are being modernized with the aim of providing better services to the people.

The slot booking system will be implemented on an experimental basis in the sub-registrar offices of the state. In the first phase, this system will be started in 10 to 12 sub-registrar offices this month. Details related to this were revealed to the media by Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Tuesday.

While there are 144 sub-registrar offices in the state, this system will be implemented in 22 areas including Azampura, Chikkadapalli in Hyderabad, Sadashivapet in Sangareddy district, Quthbullapur in Medchal district, Shamshabad in Rangareddy district, Saroor nagar, Champapet, khammam, jagtial, Nirmal, Warangal Fort, Kothagudem, Bhuvanagiri and others.

People can book a slot at their convenient time through the website “registration telangana.gov.in”. Daily working hours have been divided into 48 slots and arrangements have been made to avoid congestion. For those who have not booked a slot, 5 walk-in registrations will be allowed between 5 pm and 6 pm in case of emergency. (Maxim News)
