Drawing historical parallels, he recalled that similar attacks had occurred in 1967 and 1971, and that then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had given a strong response, leading to the division of Pakistan into two countries—Pakistan and Bangladesh. He noted that Indira Gandhi had been compared to Goddess Durga by even her political adversaries like Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Appealing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Revanth Reddy urged him to emulate Indira Gandhi’s decisive leadership and deliver a fitting reply to the terrorist groups. He said that crores of Indians would stand firmly behind him and called for the reunification of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir with India.
