The officials found that the ACs on the ground floor had been running continuously for some time, due to which the pressure increased and exploded, and they concluded that the accident occurred when the compressors exploded due to pressure.

Officials said that the compressor exploded and the fire spread to the electrical meters nearby. There were a large number of ACs on the ground floor, and the accident occurred in several ACs, causing heavy smoke. The first and second floors were completely filled with smoke as the smoke spread thickly.

As a result, none of the family members had a chance to come out. By the time the fire crew arrived, many had become unconscious due to the smoke. They were taken to the hospital, but to no avail.

None of the locals around the house where the accident occurred have electricity connections. The authorities found that everyone was using electricity illegally. The investigation revealed that electricity theft was one of the reasons for the accident. It is believed that the jewelry store in the building where the accident occurred was closed, and it seems that the locals were stealing electricity from the high-tension wire through hooks.

It was explained that due to this illegal use of electricity, the load on the current meters of the affected family increased significantly. It was found that their meter caught fire due to this. The fire that broke out in the meter spread to the wooden showcase next to it. The fire from it touched the AC compressor and exploded, causing the fire to spread rapidly and causing a major accident.

Prahlad Modi said that he and his family have been living in Gulzar House for the past few years. At the time of the accident, 21 family members were in the house. They had attended a function in Attapur and had come to sleep in the house.
