Moscow/Hyderabad, May 23 (Maxim News): A group of Indian MPs who went to Russia to brief the media about Operation Sindoor narrowly escaped a major accident. A drone attack was carried out on the Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow, where the plane carrying the MPs was supposed to land. The attack took place just as the Indian MPs were about to land. As a result, the plane carrying the Indian MPs did not get landing clearance, and the flight circled in the air for hours. After the situation came under control, the Indian MPs landed safely after the authorities gave permission.

What happened is that India has launched Operation Sindoor as a counter to the Pahalgam Terrorist Attack. The central government is sending delegations of members of Parliament to various countries to explain this Operation Sindoor to the world. As part of this, a group of MPs led by DMK MP Kanimozhi left for Russia on Thursday (May 22). In this context, a drone attack took place at Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow minutes before the plane carrying Kanimozhi’s team was due to land.
Immediately alerted authorities closed the Moscow Airport. This halted domestic and international flight operations at the airport. The plane carrying a group of Indian MPs was also prevented from landing. The plane circled in the air for a long time as it did not receive clearance from the airport for landing.
The plane carrying the Indian delegation finally landed safely after receiving the green signal from the airport authorities. The Indian Embassy officials in Russia welcomed the all-party MP delegation at the airport and took them safely to the hotel.
