The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had mentioned their names in the chargesheet submitted to the court last month. However, they were not included as accused. It is known that top Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and five others were included as accused.

The ED is alleging a conspiracy to illegally dispose of assets worth Rs. 2,000 crore belonging to Associated Journals Limited (AJL). It is said that the Young India organization was established with the intention of disposing of the assets. Several Congress leaders and others contributed money to set up this organization between 2019-22.

The ED has stated in the chargesheet that the current Telangana CM (then Telangana PCC President) Revanth Reddy, Pawan bansal and Ahmed Patel lured them with positions and benefits in return.

It has been clarified that this matter was confirmed only after examining the witnesses. Revanth Reddy and Pawan Bansal have not yet responded to the ED’s allegations.
