Two State Awards For One Film Unfair: Murali Mohan
Hyderabad, May 30 (Maxim News): Well-known film actor Murali Mohan opined that the state government should also announce the film awards in AP.
He made the remarks on the day the Telangana government declared the Gaddar Awards. He said it is not proper for the governments of two states to award the same Telugu movie.
It would be better if the two governments settle this through mutual understanding. The Telangana government should declare the awards one year and the AP government the next year, he opined.
“The fact that this movie won the award in Telangana and that one in Andhra is controversial. Telugu cinema requires both states. One more, one less is not there. All Telugu people are the same regarding cinema. Our movies are being screened all over the world. Americans are seeing Telugu movies before us,” opined Murali Mohan. (Maxim News)
