Chicken Prices Rise Due To Coronavirus

Hyderabad, June 1 (Maxim News): Chicken prices have increased sharply in Telugu states due to the Corona effect. Traders and consumers say that they have increased by Rs. 20 to Rs. 30 in the last week. In major cities like Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Warangal and Visakhapatnam, the price of broiler chicken is ranging from Rs. 260 to Rs. 280. According to some consumers, the price has crossed Rs. 300 in areas with high demand.

However, in the wake of the gradual increase in corona cases in Telangana and AP, people have increased their consumption of protein food, chicken and eggs, with the intention of increasing their immunity. Due to this, the demand for chicken has increased dramatically.

Now businesses have also increased prices heavily, considering this as an opportunity. Market analysts believe that not only corona, but also the cost of feeding broiler chickens and transportation costs may be the reasons for the increase in chicken prices. Despite The increase in price, people are lining up in front of chicken shops for health reasons.

So far, three people have tested positive for Corona in Telangana. At the same time, four people in AP have been infected with the virus in a single day.
