IED Explodes In Odisha: CRPF Officer Dies
Bhubaneswar/Hyderabad, June 14 (Maxim News) A horrific incident took place in the Sundergarh district of Odisha on Saturday morning. An IED exploded while combing for Maoists. A CRPF officer lost his life in the blast.
The alerted Odisha Police has sounded a high alert in the areas surrounding the IED blast. The deceased CRPF officer has been identified as ASI Satyaban Kumar singh (34), Kumar Singh, who was critically injured, was rushed to a hospital in Rourkela, where he succumbed to his injuries, police said. Kumar Singh hails from the Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
The IED exploded while CRPF jawans and Special Operations Group police were combing the forests near Ke Balang Village in Rourkela. The incident took place at 6 am on Saturday, police confirmed. (Maxim News)
