Bomb Threat To Hyderabad City Civil Court; Search Operation Underway

Hyderabad, July 8, 2025 (Maxim News): Tension gripped the City Civil Court in the Old City of Hyderabad on Monday after an unidentified caller issued a bomb threat, prompting an immediate security response from local law enforcement authorities.

The call, received during court hours, claimed that a bomb had been planted on the court premises, sending shockwaves among the staff, litigants, and security personnel present at the site.

Upon receiving the alert, the Hyderabad City Police swiftly responded, dispatching bomb disposal units and sniffer dog squads to the location. All court activities were immediately suspended, and the premises were evacuated as a precautionary measure.

“We received information about a potential bomb threat through a phone call. As per protocol, we evacuated the area and deployed bomb detection and disposal teams. The search operation is currently underway,” said a senior police official.

The Old City police have registered a case and launched a probe to trace the origin of the threatening call. Officials are reviewing CCTV footage and examining call records to identify the suspect.

Meanwhile, court proceedings remain on hold as the authorities continue their inspection to ensure the safety of all concerned.

This is not the first time judicial establishments in the city have been targeted with hoax threats, raising concerns over security arrangements. Police are treating the case with utmost seriousness and have increased security presence at key judicial complexes across the city.
