Heavy Flooding Continues At Nagarjuna Sagar Project: Gates Lifted

Hyderabad, Aug 2 (Maxim News): Heavy inflow continues to the Nagarjuna Sagar project.  With this, the Sagar has become like a full pot.  In this order, 24 crust gates are being raised by 5 feet and 2 crust gates by 10 feet, releasing 2,09,632 lakh cusecs of water downstream.

The project inflow is 2,54,519 lakh cusecs and the outflow is 2,54,519 lakh cusecs.  The full water level of the project is 590 feet and the current water level is 585.10 feet.  The full water capacity is 312.0450 TMC and the current water storage is 296.7235 TMC.  Power generation is continuing at the hydro electric power station.  (Maxim News)
