Haj Committee Announces Digital Qurrah for Hajj 2026 Pilgrims
Hyderabad: The Haj Committee of India conducted the draw of lots, known as Qurrah or Qurandazi, here on Wednesday to select pilgrims for Hajj 2026. Applicants who submitted their forms by the August 7 deadline can now check if they have been selected. Hajj 2026 is expected to take place between May 24 and 29, 2026.
In Telangana, the event was presided over by Chairman Syed Ghulam Afzal Biyabani Khusro Pasha, with Executive Officer Sajjad Ali and Additional Executive Officer Irfan Shareef overseeing the proceedings.
A total of 11,757 applications were received for Hajj 2026 from Telangana. According to the details, General Category General Category: 10,918, Senior Citizens (65+): 772, Ladies Waiting List (LWM): 67. The total quota for Hajj 2026 from Telangana has been set at 4,292 pilgrims, leaving 7,465 applicants on the waiting list.
Pilgrims can check their selection status online after 11:30 AM on 13th August 2025. Follow these steps:
Visit the official Haj Committee website: https://www.hajcommittee.gov.in
Wait for the homepage to load.
Scroll down to the bottom and locate the “Cover Enquiry” section.
Enter your complete Cover Number in the given box.
Fill in the Captcha as displayed.
Click “Send Details“.
Your Pilgrim Details Page will open, showing your selection status:
Provisionally Selected – You have been selected.
Waitlisted – Your waiting list number will be displayed.
After the Qurrah, the Haj Committee of India will upload the state-wise provisionally selected list (CLICK HERE FOR STATE WISE LIST) on its official website. The following details will be displayed against each selected Hajis’ Cover Number in a table format:
Serial Number (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4…)
Cover Number
Name of the Pilgrim
Selection Number (e.g., SL-1, SL-2, SL-3…)
Date
Time
Bank Reference Number
Name of the District
