The bill aims to ban real money gaming (poker, fantasy sports) and promote e-Sports, educational games, and social games. The center also aims to make India a global gaming hub. According to the bill, a Central Online Gaming Authority will be established. It will categorize games into four categories: eSports, educational, social, and real money games. Do not offer or support real money games. Advertising is also prohibited. Banks should not transact these. If you run real money games, you will be punished with three years in prison or a fine of Rs. 1 crore. Both can be imposed. If you advertise these, you will be punished with two years in prison and a fine of Rs. 50 lakh. If you do it again, you will be punished with five years in prison and a fine of Rs. 2 crore. These are cognizable, non-bailable offences. Those who play these are considered victims.
