Liquor Shops Closed In Hyderabad For 36 Hours

Hyderabad, Sept 4 (Maxim News): The Hyderabad City Police have imposed restrictions on bars, liquor shops and restaurants in Hyderabad on the occasion of Ganesh immersion.

Hyderabad Commissioner of Police CV Anand has issued orders to close all liquor shops in the city for 36 hours on September 6. According to the notification of CP, the CP has issued orders to close wineries, bars, restaurants and liquor shops in the twin cities of Hyderabad for 36 hours from 6 am on September 6 to 6 pm on September 7. However, he said that these restrictions will not apply to registered clubs and 5 star hotels.

On the other hand, the police have made heavy security arrangements for the Ganesh Nimajjana Shobha Yatra to be held on September 6. Along with the city police, the Rapid Action Protection Force has also been deployed to maintain law and order. A large number of police personnel have been deployed near mosques and temples. CP CV Anand has ordered the police to maintain strict vigil to prevent any anti social activities, pickpocketing, eve teasing, chain snatching etc.  (Maxim News)
